Brazoria County authorities really want to arrest your awful ex on Valentine’s Day

That’s one way to make sure you never run into an ex again

Running into a really terrible ex-partner can be the worst sometimes, especially on Valentine’s Day. That’s why the Brazoria County Constable’s Office made a post on Facebook asking for those terrible exes to be turned into authorities.

As you can see the in the screenshot below, the post is meant to be cheeky and funny. They don’t really want you to turn in your bad ex, but it’s also not a bad idea if you have an ex that may be wanted by authorities.

They are offering a fun ride in a vehicle that has flashing lights, a three-night stay with their five-star accommodations, and a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner, if you chose to rat out your ex on next Wednesday. They even guarantee you can stay anonymous if you reach out to their tip line.

While a Valentine’s Day meal does sound lovely, the last place I’d want to be spending any holiday is in the slammer.

The comments on the Facebook post are generally positive, with most people laughing at the absurdity of calling the police on an ex you’d like to see go to prison. It wasn’t all laughing emojis on other parts of the internet, though.

On a Reddit post, commentators described how disturbed they were that authorities would joke about such a thing, and even went as far to say they don’t want to see their tax dollars used for a “funny” social media post.

“I pay enough taxes so I don’t have to do your job for you,” wrote one Reddit user. Others simply just called the post gross and embarrassing.

What do you think of the post? Was the Constable’s Office just trying to have fun, or should they stick to their jobs, and leave jokes to comedians? Let us know in the comments below!
