HOUSTON – Bravo’s beloved reality TV cooking competition show “Top Chef” is back for another season, and one contestant may look a little familiar to some Houstonians.

That’s because Houston-based chef Michelle Wallace will be competing and cooking on the new season of “Top Chef,” and the competition is just getting started.

Wallace is the brains behind B’Tween Sandwich Co. in Houston. As the owner, she’s serving up insanely delicious-looking sandwiches that have a southern barbecue twist. Just scrolling their Instagram will have you drooling. Can I try it all, please?!

“Top Chef” isn’t the first accomplishment Wallace will be adding to her resume. She was recognized by the James Beard Foundation as a Taste America Chef, and she competed on season three of Food Network’s “BBQ Brawl,” so it’s pretty safe to say this isn’t Wallace’s first rodeo.

She’s also nominated for the Culture Map awards for the second time, and she’s really hoping to pull out a win this time. Fingers crossed she pulls out a “Top Chef” win, too!

This season of “Top Chef” will take the chefs to Wisconsin, the land of the Packers and copious amounts of cheese. Wallace is clearly comfortable with barbecue and southern flavors, so it will be interesting to see how her food translates to cooking in the land of the Midwest. It will be an exciting season!

“Top Chef” premieres on Wednesday, March 20 on Bravo. You can watch the trailer for the new season below, and in the meantime, we will be cheering on Chef Wallace. In the words of Carmie from “The Bear,” yes, chef!
