HOUSTON – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recognized Graham Media Group and TK Nguyen, Manager of Broadcast Sales Support, with awards presented under the umbrella of the office of the United States Secretary of Defense.
Allyson Almand, a Graham Media Group employee who serves in the United States Navy Reserve, nominated her employer and direct supervisor for the awards.

“I want to show how grateful and thankful I am working with an amazing supervisor (TK), team (Sales Support) and Graham Media Group, knowing I do not have to have extra stress while I am away with the Military,” said Almand.
The awards were presented at KPRC 2 by ESGR representative George Nami. Graham Media Group representative Keira Gwin accepted the Above and Beyond award via Zoom, which is presented to employers offering outstanding support to Guard and Reserve members.
Nguyen received the Patriot Award, which is given to supervisors who advocate on behalf of their team members in the Guard and Reserve to make accommodations for their service duties.
“Allyson is a valuable team member with strong teamwork skills, discipline, and work ethic. As her manager and as a collective team behind her, supporting Allyson during her missions is the least we can do, especially considering all the hard work and sacrifices she has made for our country and organization,” Nguyen said.
