Relations between Malaysia and North Korea soured after Malaysian investigators refused to return Kim's body to North Korea, and instead conducted an autopsy that revealed Kim had been murdered.
With both countries announcing a freeze on departures amid the diplomatic row, four Malaysian diplomats and their family members had been stuck in North Korea since March 7. They were finally allowed to return home on March 30.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak also announced that that Malaysia will now allow North Koreans to leave Malaysia.
Police have arrested several suspects and continue to search for more. Malaysia asked Interpol to put out an alert for four missing North Korean suspects.
Siti Aisyah, of Indonesia, faces a murder charge for the death of Kim Jong Nam. CNN reports she and Doan Thi Huong, who's also charged for his murder, will face the death penalty if convicted.
Doan Thi Huong, of Vietnam, has also been charged in Kim Jong Nam's death. Both women, who were caught on closed-circuit security cameras rubbing a substance on Kim's face before running away, say they believed they were taking part in a prank TV show, a claim vehemently denied by Malaysian police.
