Many people love avocados, but could they be causing your gut issues?

The superfood packed with good fats, vitamins and protein provides benefits including improved heart health, reduced symptoms of arthritis, cancer prevention and weight loss. Avocados contain a specific type of sugar that some people cannot absorb easily, so it ferments in the body causing bloating and digestive problems.

If you are allergic to latex, you could have something called latex fruit syndrome. That means you might be hyper-sensitive to certain plant-based foods, including avocados.

Doctors say you can try limiting your portion sizes to see if that helps. For some people, not only should they not eat avocados, they also need to avoid lotions and shampoos than contain avocado extracts.
