Cheers Wine Club members! It’s Courtney Zavala, co-host of Houston Life. We are so excited to share the Wine Club, poured by H‑E‑B every Wednesday. It’s a great way to expand your home wine collection and for the novice it’s the perfect way to try new varieties and labels. The best part of all, the price points are unbelievable!
This week we are pouring bubbles. And bubbles are really having a moment right now. But not all bubbles are created equally. There’s Champagne, Sparking Wine, Cava and the list goes on. I’m not an expert, but I will tell you I love them all.
Today we are featuring Petalo Il Vino Dell’ Amore Moscato Spumante. Translation: The wine of love! This is a sweet, sparking white wine crafted from Moscato grapes grown in Northeast Italy’s Colli Euganei region.
If you have been searching for the perfect dessert wine look no further. This sweet sparking wine has notes of orange blossom, honey and apricot. A fine pairing would be cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries and crème brûlée. But also think salty and sweet. This Moscato Spumante would even match well with salty or spicy. Because just like people, opposites attract!
