HOUSTON – Houston Life Reporter Joe Sam went above the waves to show families how they can wake surf for the Summer right here in Texas. Wake surfing is a water sport in which a rider trails behind a boat, riding the boat’s wake without being directly pulled by the boat. Joe tried it out to give families an idea of how much fun it is getting involved in this water sport that can be started from a very young age. Once Joe learned how to get up on the wake, by use of a tow rope, he attempted to drop the rope, and ride the steep face below the wave’s peak in a fashion reminiscent of surfing.
