Volunteers needed to help provide Justice for Children

HOUSTON – Local non-profit, Justice for Children (JFC), announces the release of a Child Abuse Safety Planning Video, a long-needed primer for protective parents and caregivers on reporting abuse and what to do in the aftermath. As the COVID-9 lockdown has lifted and more abuse is being exposed, it is important to get information to parents to ensure their child’s safety and further abuse. Justice for Children’s video is an excellent primer on what must be done to protect our children from abuse and our legal obligations as parents and concerned citizens once we suspect it has occurred. (Randy Burton, JFC Board President) Based on factors identified in cases brought to JFC after systems designed to protect children have failed, the video contains information on reporting, and documenting abuse, cooperating with investigations, victim care, and the importance of getting legal advice and advocacy.
