Calling all foodies!
Looking for the best burger, crazy concoction, or local hole in the wall? Meet David Elder, the man behind the TV show Texas Eats, dedicated to finding the best dishes in the lone star state. Not only will he help us find the best local spots in Houston, but he will also cook for us. Who’s hungry?
Ride for the Brave
Veterans helping veterans! A group of veterans is riding into Houston on a mission. They’re here to raise money and awareness for Save the Brave, a nonprofit that creates support networks for veterans. The goal is to help veterans connect, build bonds, and prevent post-traumatic stress-related suicide. They’ll share more about their organization and how you can help right here in Houston.
Sugar Land teen making a break in music
Continuing the segment on recognizing local teens who had the best summer ever, singer Faith Lee joins us in the studio for her very first interview. Faith is 14 years old and has already sung the National Anthem at an Astros game, performed in operas, and was nominated for music awards in Nashville. Watch her interview about her aspirations and perform an original song only on Houston Life.
Fire Alert! Firefighters are in the studio
No, it’s not an actual fire, but their calendar is. All for a good cause, firefighters from Spring team up with some cuddly friends posing for a calendar supporting local animal shelters and they’re giving us a sneak peek. Hot? Cute? You decide.
And that’s what happened on Houston Life!
