HOUSTON – Valentine’s Day is usually filled with lots of candy, chocolates, and desserts.
But there are other ways to celebrate without getting a sugar rush.
Mary Ellen Phipps, a registered dietitian with Milk & Honey Nutrition, shares some ideas for the kids at school, for co-workers at the office and for teachers.
She also suggests “low sugar” candies or treats with protein or fiber added.
