This Saturday, February 18, is Texas Preview Day with all races featuring Texas thoroughbreds. Live racing continues on Sunday, and Monday for President’s Day, so you can enjoy the excitement of three fantastic race days.
Beyond this weekend, there is always something fun happening at Sam Houston Race Park. “Starting in March for the first time this year we’re going to be doing some Sunday Fundays,” said Sam Houston Race Park General Manager, Frank Hopf. With a petting zoo and pony rides, the Sunday Fundays are set to be a great day out for the whole family with some fun activities just for the kids.
And for the big kids? The Race Park will host a number of Texas breweries throughout March; Galveston Island Brewing, Karbach, Saint Arnold, and 8th Wonder Brewery. All in the cause of a great day out!
As far as the horse racing goes, you don’t have to worry if you have never placed a bet. At Sam Houston Race Park they have people on hand to help guide you through making a wager, from a Quinella to a Superfecta. Win, Place, or Show!
