HOUSTON – Whether you have family in town or kids out of school who are already bored, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the holiday season right here in H-Town.

1. Christmas Trains at Second Baptist Church

Locations: Woodway, West, and South campuses

Dates: Now through December 31, 2023

Hours: Daily 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Cost: Free

2. City Lights Downtown Holiday Magic presented by Shell Energy and Houston City Tours City Lights Downtown Evening Magic Bus Tour

Locations: Holiday Hub at Heritage Society (1100 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002)

Dates: Various villages have different end dates. You can find the complete list here

Hours: Vary by village

Cost: Varies depending on village location and bus tour add on

3. Radiant Nature at Houston Botanic Gardens presented by Reliant

Locations: Houston Botanic Gardens (1 Botanic Lane, Houston, TX 77017)

Dates: Friday through Sunday nights, now until February 25th, 2024

Hours: Slots start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $28.50 per ticket, kids under the age of 3 are free

4. Cookies with Santa at Rooftop Cinema Club

Location: Rooftop Cinema Club Uptown (1700 Post Oak Blvd 5th Level, Houston, TX 77056)

Date: Friday, December 22, 2023

Hours: The full event schedule includes:, 2:15-3:15 p.m. pictures with Santa and cookie decorating (polaroid photo and cookie kit included with admission), 3:15-5:00 p.m. ELF screening, event ends at 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $35 per ticket (includes cookie making kit, Santa visit and movie)

5. Skate with Santa at Discovery Green

Location: Green Mountain Ice at Discovery Green (1500 McKinney St, Houston, TX 77010)

Date: Saturday, December 23, 2023

Hours: 4-5:00 p.m.

Cost: $15 - $17 for 75 minutes, skate rental included
