HOUSTON – Performing Arts Houston is presenting its third annual New/Now event this weekend at the Cullen Theater in Wortham Center, Downtown Houston. This two-day event features the works of three amazing artists: Group Acorde, ShaWanna Renee Rivon, and the legendary Kam Franklin.
And today on Houston Life, Mel Camp visited one of the featured artists, Kam Franklin, who is rehearsing for her upcoming performance. Kam Franklin and her crew are preparing for their world premiere performance of ‘Bayou City Comeback Chorus: Volume Two,’ a sequel to her social justice-inspired album.
The best part is you can watch the performance for free. The tickets start at $0. However, if you donate a little or a lot, your money will go towards Performing Arts Houston educational programs, which provide creative opportunities for Houston artists. Click here to purchase tickets.
