Alexis Geissler, founder of Craftworx, shares three easy Valentine-themed ideas you can make at home and add your personal touch.
1. Hershey Kiss Gift Wrap
Materials:
· Funnel
· Paper shreds or tissue paper
· Saran wrap (optional)
· Aluminum foil
· Paper strip with Kisses typed on it
· Gift items such as candy or gift cards
Directions:
1) Turn funnel upside down and place paper shreds or tissue paper inside.
2) Add gift items.
3) Wrap with saran wrap to help secure items (optional.)
4) Tape Kisses paper to top of funnel. (If skipping saran wrap, do this step first.)
5) Place funnel in the center of aluminum foil sheet and wrap around the funnel.
6) Gift to your favorite teacher or someone else you love!!
2. Sugar Scrub
Materials:
· 1 cup sugar
· ¼ cup coconut (or some other clear) oil
· ½ tsp pink sugar sprinkles
· ½-1 Tablespoon heart sprinkles
· 4-5 drops essential oil (optional)
Directions:
1) Mix sugar, coconut oil, sugar sprinkles, ½ of the heart sprinkles and essential oil (optional) together in bowl.
2) Place in desired storage/gift container.
3) Add remaining heart sprinkles on top.
4) Consider adding other spa items such as lip gloss and a bath bomb with the sugar scrub in a gift box.
5) Gift to a galentine or someone special in your life!!
3. 3D Valentine
Materials:
· Printed Photo
· Lollipop
Directions:
1) Take a picture of your child pretending to hold something.
2) Print photo.
3) Cut slits at top and bottom of hand in photo.
4) Insert lollipop.
5) Your child will love passing this Valentine out to their friends!
