HOUSTON – From the bull riding, to mutton busting, barrel racing and more, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is non-stop action for fans that come out to watch each night.
And you may not realize it, but there are Rodeo announcers who make these big announcements each night as they watch on from their booth inside of NRG Stadium.
Boyd Polhamus, Bob Tallman and Andy Seiler are the voices behind the RodeoHouston announcements each night, and this isn’t your regular play-by-play -- they have eyes on EVERYTHING that’s happening down on the dirt.
The guys have to make sure the crowd is having a good time, as well as reporting on the Athletes, as well as their animals. There’s so much history in each announcement!
Andy Seiler, who’s marking his 10th year as an announcer for RodeoHouston, took us behind-the-scenes for a special look at how the show goes on.
Watch his fun chat with Lauren Kelly for a fun look at the man behind the voice you hear calling those close competitions every night!
