HOUSTON – Layla’s Barkery is a unique and healthy venture created by Monica Baweja. It’s the only mobile dog treat business in Houston, and it’s delighting pup parents all over town.
She named her business after Layla, the first dog she adopted from BARC with her sister. Her husband Ayush, then boyfriend in 2017, suggested she expand her hobby of making dog treats into a business. She resisted, but eventually, with the loving support of her village behind her, she leaped into a new career.
“All the dogs love them, and they are made with such good quality ingredients. I take a lot of time, effort, and research into what I make,” Baweja said.
As a mobile company, she can go anywhere she is needed and provide treats that are good for the pups of Houston. She even creates custom treats for a pawty you might throw for your furry kids.
“I want all dogs to live a long healthy life,” she said.
Baweja is offering a 15% discount on all orders. Visit her website by clicking here and use the promo code HL15 at checkout.
You can also see Layla’s Barkery mobile dog treat trailer in person. Her next appearance will be at the Pup Crawl with BARC Houston and Saint Arnold’s this Sunday at the Houston Arboretum from 3 - 6 p.m.
In the meantime, Baweja shared one of her cool dessert recipes you can easily make at home for the pups.
