If you’re a Houston sports fan, you have to know about Ranard Hardman, also known as @Nardgotsole on Instagram.
He’s a sneaker artist who has designed custom shoes for everyone from fans to local celebs. His venture stemmed from his love for art and shoes. Nard tells us he started in sneaker restoration, but then someone asked about a custom pair. One day he decided to merge his passions and hasn’t looked back.
He’s commissioned shoes for celebrities and artists, Kendrick Lamar, Michael Bublé, Mary J. Blige, and Houston’s own Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Trae Tha Truth, and Bun B.
Houston Life host Tessa Barrera has a pair he designed for her after the Astros won the World Series in 2022.
We asked him to join us in the studio for Astros Opening Day to design a pair of sneakers. We checked on him throughout the show and he knocked it out of the park.
What used to take Nard 16 hours, took him just one episode of Houston Life to finish the pair of sneakers.
