Get muddy with the crew from Wide Open Garage

HOUSTON – Wide Open Garage will be featured on MotorTrend Channel, Wednesday, April 24th for Season 2 of Texas Metal’s Loud & Lifted reality show. The group is making a name for themselves in the monster truck building community.

David Donnan is a second-generation car mechanic; his son Daniel has been around trucks his entire life.

“My dad started buying and selling cars when I was younger, he kind of taught me the ropes of just working on automotive things. As I got older it progressed and I came out and started building my own things,” Daniel said.

Robert Brown is Daniel’s childhood friend. He says Wide Open Garage evolved from running around on 4-wheelers and dirt bikes to now, mud trucks.

“I couldn’t imagine going and having a regular job anymore, this is what I like to do every day,” Brown said.

Reggie Neal was only 16 years old and working at O’Reilly Auto Parts when Daniel rolled into his life on lifted, loud, monster truck wheels. He has fully embraced the competition culture.

“Once you are inside one of the vehicles and see it in person, it’s a totally different experience,” Reggie said.

The crew is always trying to bring their A game to the masses.

“First of all from H town you gotta do it over the top, you gotta take it to the next level every time you do something,” Brown said.

“The whole crew, we get here, we build something like this, it’s not a job, we’re just having fun,” Daniel said.
