Stick to your health goals by using the Mediterranean Diet on the go

Houston – Pam Fullenweider is back on Houston Life to school us on the Mediterranean Diet.

She’s an expert dietician with Fully Mediterranean specializing in that specific way of eating and living. She walked us through how to stick to our health goals using the Mediterranean Diet while traveling. Fullenweider says the Mediterranean Diet is one of the best in the world for its sustainable and holistic ways of eating and living.

With spring and summer travel picking up, sticking to your health goals can be challenging. Fullenweider is helping us discover on-the-go recipes, road trip meals, snack ideas, and airport-friendly foods.

A good place to start is a Greek Salad Wrap. It’s quick, easy, and fully customizable. Leaning into the Mediterranean Diet, you want to have a lot of fiber, healthy fats, and lean protein. It’s perfect for heading out the door or packing for lunch. Because it’s customizable, you can cater to many preferences, health requirements, and age groups.

If you’re heading on a road trip, packing a cooler with healthy snacks is the way to go. It saves time, money, and stress if you do not have to worry about stopping at a gas station or restaurant on the road. Good options include bento boxes with turkey, fruits, and nuts. They also come prepared at the grocery store.

Finally, TSA-approved snacks for the airport. No one wants to overspend at the airport so packing your meals can help if you find yourself on a delayed flight or not satiated. Make sure any liquids you bring are tossed before you get to security or within the TSA limits.
