Celebrate moms with effortless DIY gifts from the heart

HOUSTON – Show mom you care with a personal touch.

Craft queen and owner of Craftworx Alexis Geissler is back in the Houston Life studio with three quick and easy Mother’s Day gifts the little ones can make.

(1) Photo Coasters

What you will need -

• 4 x 4 white tiles
• Dishwasher-safe/Waterproof Mod Podge
• Paintbrush
• Felt scissors
• Photos

How you can make it -

1. Find photos to go onto your coasters and size to fit a 4x4 size tile.
2. Print photos and trim to the photo borders.
3. Clean off tile and paint a thin layer of Mod Podge on top.
4. Position your photo on tile and press down evenly, paying special attention to the corners.
5. Let dry and then cover photo with a thin layer of Mod Podge to set photo.
6. Cut felt to fit the bottom of the coaster (you could also use furniture felt, etc,) to protect surface from the rough bottom.
7. Glue felt onto bottom once coaster is dry.
8. Gift to your Mom or someone special to you!!

(2) Photo Key Chain

What you will need -

• Bevel to place photos into
• Key chain hardware
• Photos
• Scissors
• Tassels (optional)

How you can make it -

1. Find photos to go into your key chain and size to fit inside of the bevel.
2. Print photos and trim to the photo borders.
3. Place photos inside of bevel.
4. Close and add keychain hardware.
5. Add tassels, if desired.
6. Gift to a Mom or someone special to you!! These are great for any occasion!3

(3) Photo Card

What you will need -

• Paper
• Paint
• Marker
• Photo
• Scissors

How you can make it -

1. Find a photo of your child and resize to fit onto paper.
2. Print photo and trim to the photo borders.
3. Fold a piece of card stock in half to create the card.
4. Paint your child’s feet and press down onto paper.
5. Once dry, add a message and glue down the photo head.
6. Gift to Grandma or someone special to your child!!
