HOUSTON – Cheers to wine, food and paint!
The annual Wine and Food Week will feature world class entertainment, like the art of speed painting with PaintJam.
Dan and Harvey Dunn are the father and son duo behind the show.
They recently stopped by Houston Life for a special “champagne” performance to toast the 20th Annual Wine and Food Week.
They have performed for audiences around the world, and they revealed they like to try and keep crowds entertained and maybe a little confused about what they are seeing on stage.
“That’s what we try to do, we try to misdirect, we try to make the audience guess,” Dan said.

Dan Dunn was a caricaturist and an illustrator for years and he says, the late, original speed painter Denny Dent inspired him to perfect his own speed painting craft.
After he booked a gig as the closing act in an Atlantic City casino show, his daughter uploaded his performance on YouTube and it went viral and the rest is history.
Dan has since handed the reigns of PaintJam over to Harvey.
“He was theater boy, and I never really knew that he could even really draw much, but he came to me and said I want to learn to do this,” he explained.
Harvey is extremely meticulous and has brought in his own brand of showmanship to PaintJam.
“He runs the company, he runs the show, I’m stepping back into semi-retirement,” Dan said.
You can catch PaintJam’s full performance at the Sips, Suds, and Savor event happening June 7 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott for Wine and Food Week.
