HOUSTON – When it comes to craft beer, Saint Arnold is synonymous with Houston and this year marks 30 years of making delicious, award-winning beer for the brewery.
“It’s a long time coming, obviously. It’s super cool that we get to celebrate in a true Houston fashion,” Lennie Ambrose, Chief Operating Officer of St. Arnold Brewery told Houston Life.
Lennie is one of the beloved faces of the Houston beer community and one of the longest-tenured employees at St. Arnold brewery.
“We’ve kind of had these different phases of the brewery: the old warehouse where we started, then we opened the new brewery, then we opened the beer garden, now it’s all kind of culminating in the 30th,” Ambrose said.
In a brilliant marketing move, Saint Arnold turned to local artist and Houston favorite, Kam Franklin to curate a lineup for their milestone event.
“I’ve come up with almost something like a Houston jukebox, it’s a collaborative set, we have a lot of special guests, some that have already been announced like Devin the Dude and Fat Tony and Robert Ellis, and some that haven’t been announced at all. So, I’m very excited for the opportunity to just collaborate with so many artists that I don’t get to, for this one night only special event,” artist Kam Franklin beamed.
Gracie Chavez knows the importance of live music in Houston. In her role from the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs she also knows how vital a local connection is to St. Arnold, Houston’s oldest brewery.
“We can start by saying Houston is so diverse, I feel like that’s our tagline, but when you really want to take it up a notch and you make it collaborative, that’s where the real magic happens,” Chavez said.
Festival gates will open at 11am, entertainment will go from 2-10pm.
General admission tickets are still available for purchase on the Saint Arnold website.
