HOUSTON – Travelzoo Senior Editor Gabe Saglie is always up for an adventure. This week on Houston Life, Gabe took us inside some of the newest attractions at Walt Disney World in Florida. The park is so popular it welcomes 35,000 visitors each day during the summer months.
This year, visitors can enjoy a variety of new rides and attractions -- including Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Based on the 2009 Disney film, ‘The Princess and the Frog,’ the ride features adorable characters and daring plunges (yes, you will get wet)! It opens to the public on June 28th, but Houston Life travel contributor Gabe Saglie gave Houston Life viewers a first look!
“My favorite part of the ride happens at the very end; it’s a 50 foot drop,” said Saglie, who got quite wet himself!
The world-famous Epcot Center also just completed a multi-year transformation. Originally opened in 1982, the 42 year old park now brings in many of the newer Disney characters and features nighttime shows with synchronized pyrotechnics and water cannons.
