HOUSTON – Adventure begins at your library. That’s the theme for this year’s summer reading program with the Harris County Public Library (HCPL).
Readers of all ages are encouraged to join the reading challenge, where they can read books to earn prizes.
Anjela Martinez and Delaney Daly from HCPL recently stopped by Houston Life to chat about the summer reading program, how it works and who can participate.
The program runs June 3 through August 3 at any of HCPL’s 26 branches.

All month long, KPRC 2 is highlighting children’s literacy initiatives with our community partners at Energy Transfer, Houston Christian University and Exclusive Furniture.
