Houston, Texas – The Houston Rockets have the 3rd overall selection of the 2024 NBA Draft. Eager fans who want celebrate can park for free in the Toyota Tundra parking garage and register for tickets at Rockets.com.
“It’s gotten bigger and bigger each year, so we actually changed the location to the convention center. So, it’s at the George R Brown because we outgrew the previous home for the last few years,” President of Business Operations, Gretchen Sheirr said.
The 2024 Rockets Draft Experience will feature live entertainment with a main stage and programming including Clutch City Dancers, Clutch the Bear and Rockets legends. Celebrations aside, the gravity of the draft selection is not lost on the franchise.
“Any time you watch a young athlete and player accomplish their dreams on that stage, it is something pretty special. It’s not easy, only a handful of people in the world make this and when they don the Rockets cap tomorrow night, it’ll be exciting to welcome him to Houston,” Sheirr said.
There will be a Rockets pop-up shop that will include merchandise up to 75% off, special draft merchandise as well as the unveiling of a Rockets/Lululemon collaboration.
“This is exclusive to the Rockets, you will not find this at any other retailer anywhere,” Kara Infante, Senior Director of Retail Development and Operations said.
The Draft Experience also offers activities for all ages to enjoy. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the draft will begin at 7 p.m.
