Interstellar Confections known for space-themed, glow-in-the-dark artisan chocolates

HOUSTON – There’s a chocolate shop in Friendswood gaining popularity for their bright and colorful boxes of space-themed, artisan chocolates.

Interstellar Confections got some well-deserved attention after delivering boxes of chocolates to NASA’s Artemis crew last December upon their return from the moon!

Patrick Waldner and his wife Julie are the owners, and they use chocolate sourced from Tanzania. Patrick has a back round as a pastry chef, but during the pandemic he shifted from pastries to chocolates.

Patrick grew up near Space Center Houston, and he was obsessed with all things space and extraterrestrial - which is why now a portion of proceeds goes towards alien research.

The idea for the shop came about in early 2022, and they feature 15 signature flavors including smores, chocolate raspberry, dark chocolate coconut. Flavors that remind them of their childhood!

Lauren Kelly got a look at how these out-of-this-world creations are made!
