Shop local and find Waldo at these small businesses in Houston

Houston – Houston’s oldest bookstore is turning 50 and encouraging Houstonians to shop small with Waldo, the famous red and white striped book character.

Brazos Bookstore is one of 22 businesses to take part in a city-wide scavenger hunt called Find Waldo Local. It aims to support small businesses appealing to kids and parents alike. Each business will hide a small Waldo on site for families to hunt for. Just like every Waldo puzzle, every store will find unique ways to hide him.

Most participating businesses will provide additional activities during the hunt like breakfast tacos at Cochinita and Co., or to play a board game at Coral Sword.

Groups that find at least 10 Waldos are eligible for prizes at Brazos Bookstore, including coupons for Waldo books. They will also be invited back for a finale party on August 3, decked out with Waldo-themed games and raffle prizes from participating businesses.
