HOUSTON – Calling all future farmers of America!
For the first time in 20 years, the Texas FFA Association will call Houston home for their annual state convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
The event will bring more than 18,000 Texas FFA members and guests back to the city. Members of the agricultural youth leadership organization can look forward to a week’s worth of dynamic activities including a motivating keynote speech, insightful workshops, career development activities, specialized events and recognition for their achievements.
More than 150 scholarships will be given to outstanding graduating seniors, totaling more than $2.3 million through the academic scholarship program.
The city of Houston will provide a fitting setting for cultivating ideas, forging connections and inspiring the future generation of agriculturists and leaders.
The Texas FFA Association is the nation’s largest state FFA association with a membership of more than 177,000 individuals.
FFA gives students the opportunity to apply practical agriculture-based classroom knowledge to real world experiences through local, state, and national competitions and programs.
