‘Disney’s The Lion King’ now on stage at the Hobby Center

HOUSTON – Since its premiere in 1997, Disney’s The Lion King has been seen on stage by over 112 million people.

And as it celebrates 25 landmark years on Broadway, the award-winning show continues to be one of the most popular stage musicals in the world.

The Tony-award winning show has returned to Houston for a 4-week engagement at the Hobby Center, and is now playing through August 4th.

The Lion King has been touring North America for more than 22 years and, during that time, has played more than 10,000 performances in over 90 cities to more than 23 million theatergoers, making it North America’s longest-running and most-attended Broadway tour.

Celebrating 25 landmark years on Broadway, The Lion King continues ascendant as one of the most popular stage musicals in the world.
