Magnetic stimulation for pain relief? How a group of Houston chiropractors are helping patients with PEMF

HOUSTON – For executive assistant Roberta Vogeltanz working long hours at a computer was not helping her pain.

Chiropractor Dr. Brandon Siegmund is on the team at Core Chiropractic. He said Vogeltanz suffered pain in her “...neck, middle, back, lower back, hip, ankle, knees...” Pushing on through, Vogeltanz had had no luck finding relief.

”She’d been to chiropractors before, but didn’t get results because they never really put her on anything consistent as far as a plan. She was trying everything under the sun to get it corrected and nothing really ever seemed to help,” said Dr. Siegmund.

At Core Chiropractic doctors Natalie and Phillip Cordova and their team of chiropractors, tailor patients’ treatment plans by combining adjustments with other cutting-edge therapies.

“We can push through pain, quite regularly, and that’s why I think people do push it off like, ‘oh, it’ll go away. It’ll fix itself.’ But once it’s just not going away and it’s not letting them be who they want to be and do the things they want to do, then it becomes an issue,” said Dr. Natalie Cordova.

Following a plan at Core Chiropractic that included regular adjustments and an alternative therapy called PEMF, or Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy, Vogeltanz found relief from the pain she had endured for years.

Dr. Siegmund explained that PEMF works to “re-energize the battery” of our bodies.

“It can help heal disks, frozen shoulders, a lot of different neck and back issues as well,” said Dr. Philip Cordova.
