You know them from their educational YouTube channel “Mommy and Me: The Listers” and they are back with a couple of exciting experiments on ‘Houston Life.’
Plus, they’re gearing up for their third annual Stem carnival. This year’s carnival promises a scavenger hunt and a chance to dive into the magic of science through experiments, drones, and robots.

Experiment 1: Vacuum Pressure
Materials: Plate, Tea light, match, jar, food coloring
Steps:
- Set the candle on a plate
- Add food coloring to the water and add water to the plate around the tea light
- light candle
- place the jar over the lit candle and set it on the plate
- watch the light extinguish and create a vacuum
Experiment 2: Magic Water
Materials: Graduated Cylinder, solution, dry ice, tongs, gloves, soap
