HOUSTON – Dr. Akintayo began his path to becoming a real estate titan as a young man in Nigeria with only a dollar in his pocket. Over time, this international property magnate has expanded his assets and guided others on their journey to investment prosperity.
Dr. Stephen Akintayo’s Houston home is a far cry from where he grew up. The real estate mogul’s Houston home sits on the banks of the Brazos River, nestled amongst trees and a lush swath of grassland.
“I grew up in real poverty. At some points, I had no running water and no electricity where I lived. That got me really thinking, ‘Why are we this poor, what is the issue?’” said Dr. Akintayo. His search for answers lead him to read Robert T. Kiyosaki’s book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.” From this book Dr. Akintayo learned the importance of building assets, not liabilities, and so his journey out of poverty began.
The Houston-based real estate mogul is the driving force behind this year’s Global Wealth Festival 2024. Like Kiyosaki before him, Dr. Akintayo is dedicated to helping other build wealth. The author and winner of Forbes’ “Best of Africa Leading Investment Coach” said he wants to share his knowledge and empower others to be fearless. “It is never too late to be on the right path,” he said. Using Abraham Lincoln as an example of someone who found success later in life. “Failure isn’t the opposite of success. Failure is on the path to success,” said Dr. Akintayo.
The Global Wealth Festival 2024 is headed to Houston spread over the weekend, starting Saturday, September 21, and running through Sunday, September 22, at JW Marriott by the Galleria. The event will deliver investment tips and inspiration and gather many big names from the investing world.
