From Colombia to Houston, this husband-and-wife duo fulfills dreams of sharing the perfect brew ☕☕

HOUSTON – It’s a specialty coffee shop where you not only drink the coffee but experience it.

I met with Juan Carlos and Lizeth, husband-and-wife business owners who moved to Houston from Colombia in January 2023 with a dream of transforming a cup of coffee into an unforgettable sensory experience.

The couple connected while working in the public sector at the council of Bogota in Colombia and soon changed their career to follow their passion.

While studying the process from the seed to the cup, they fell in love with the art of coffee making.

After moving to Houston with their extensive knowledge of the finest coffee and support from family and friends through setbacks and success, the couple fulfilled their dream of opening their own coffee shop in February 2024.

And their passion really shines through their work. They work directly with Colombian farmers to ensure their high-quality beans are ethically sourced. After Juan Carlos walked me through the menu, we saw the brewing method in action, starting from choosing a bean. To see the process in action, watch the video above. Or better yet, visit their shop located on Westheimer near the Beltway.

From opening your senses by smelling it to tasting the final brew, coffee lovers will enjoy this menu. My favorite was Campesino coffee. They used a cloth filter that brought out the flavors of jasmine, cinnamon, lemon, and cane sugar.
