Inside the new Houston Museum of Natural Science pop-up featuring one-of-a-kind pieces

HOUSTON – The Houston Museum of Natural Science just recently opened a new pop-up store featuring one-of-a-kind pieces sourced from all over the world!

The pop-up is a collaboration with the museum store at the Decorative Center Houston that includes beautiful minerals, authentic fossils, and home decorative pieces that show off the artistry found in nature.

They will also be raffling off a chess set valued at $12,000 that’s made of Amethyst and Citrine crystals and Russian Black Obsidian. There are only 120 raffle tickets that cost $100 each -- so you’ve got great odds!

Like everything at the Museum Store, 100% of the proceeds go towards the education and outreach programs at HMNS.

And since we’re now officially in spooky season, you’ve got to check out the ‘Death by Natural Causes’ exhibit currently on display.

Also, the Spirits & Skeletons Halloween mixer will be going on at the museum on Saturday, Oct 26th! It’s a 21+ event featuring live music, three DJs, and fantastic food trucks parked right outside.

Watch as Lauren Kelly chats with Latha Thomas, HMNS Sr. VP of Marketing/Retail all about this new collab!
