HOUSTON – As the holiday season approaches, many plan festive getaways to celebrate with loved ones. If you are looking for the perfect destination, look no further than San Antonio. At SeaWorld San Antonio, Texas’ biggest Christmas celebration returns with “O Wondrous Night,” featuring Christmas shows, the Sesame Street Parade, and the largest Christmas light display in the state. Families can also meet Rudolph and Santa Claus on select days from November to January.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas will dazzle visitors with its award-winning Nativity show, Candy Cane Lane, and beautiful lights. From November 23 to December 23, kids can enjoy character meet-and-greets with their favorite Looney Tunes characters throughout the park.

The San Antonio Zoo invites guests to enjoy the Zoo Lights, powered by CPS Energy. This event features live music and daily parades surrounded by thousands of environmentally friendly lights and creative displays.

For a whimsical experience, the JW Marriott offers the excitement of a 30-foot Christmas tree lighting led by Santa Claus and the astonishing ICE! attraction brings the world of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” to life. The kids won’t want to miss a ride on the Snow Flow Mountain ice slide!

Also not to be missed are the holiday festivities at Natural Bridge Caverns, which will host “Lights, Carols, Santa & S’mores” with a trail of enchanting lights, story time with Mrs. Claus, and other engaging activities. In honor of its 10th anniversary, the caverns will extend the holiday celebrations with live underground concerts through December 30.

On December 5, attend “A Homemade Christmas” at the Alamo to learn about 19th-century holiday traditions through crafts, storytelling, and demonstrations. The event is free; however, donations are encouraged.
