HOUSTON – Houston’s only outdoor ice skating rink has made its return!
One of Houston’s favorite winter traditions is the Green Mountain Energy Ice at Discovery Green, which is now open for the holiday season.
The rink will be open to the public through Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Aside from the ice rink, there is a ton of other fun programming including: themed skate nights, inclusive skating nights and even discounted events.
For the very first time, Discovery Green will introduce Bumper Cars on Ice to the ice rink! Starting Monday, January 6, experience this timeless amusement park ride with an updated twist.
No license or experience needed to drive, and tickets are $20 plus tax for a seven-minute ride.
Discounts are available for Green Mountain Energy employees and customers, Bank of America customers and employees, first responders and military, and Forever Green members.
All tickets ($18 plus tax; includes skate rentals for 75 minutes) must be purchased online in advance at discoverygreen.com/ice.
