HOUSTON – After last week’s winter weather event brought record snowfall to the Houston area, it might seem like odd timing to be thinking about your garden. But Texas Garden guy Destin Noak says now is prime planting time for many fruits and vegetables.
“I always tell people when they’re first starting out, ‘don’t go out and get 100 tomato plants, 100 peppers, start out with just one tomato plant, one pepper,’” said Noak, who believes starting small is the best way to avoid getting overwhelmed.
Noak is just one of several special guests appearing at the Houston Home and Garden Show, happening Feb 7 - 9 at NRG Park. For tickets and more information, visit HoustonHomeandGardenShow.com and use promo code ‘TEXASGARDENGUY’ for 50% off.
