The 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open is set to be the best yet, taking place March 27-30 at Memorial Park Golf Course. With its second year in the spring slot, just two weeks before The Masters, the tournament boasts its strongest field ever, promising an unforgettable experience for fans and players alike.
In a thrilling announcement, World No. 2 Rory McIlroy, fresh off his victory at The Players Championship, will return to the Houston Open for the first time since the Astros Golf Foundation took over the event. He joins a stacked field that includes World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, fan-favorite Rickie Fowler, No. 25 JJ Spaun (runner-up at The Players), No. 35 Jason Day, and No. 8 Wyndham Clark. The lineup also features 2022 champion Tony Finau (No. 31 OWGR) and reigning 2024 champion Stephan Jaeger.
Following record-breaking crowds in 2024, organizers have expanded general admission viewing areas, adding grandstands at key holes—1, 13, 15, 16, and 18—for enhanced spectator experiences.
All hospitality venues return, with increased seating at the signature hole No. 15, a newly introduced venue behind the green called The Dugout for an up-close player experience, and a first-of-its-kind double-decker hospitality area at hole 16.
Texas Children’s remains dedicated to creating a family-friendly environment with the Texas Children’s Family Fun Zone at hole 18. Kids can enjoy miniature golf, photo ops with kid-sized golf carts, a golf-themed coloring wall, and interactive games. The new Family Care Center provides a dedicated space with changing tables, bottle warmers, and private nursing areas, making the event more accessible for families.
The Texas Children’s Houston Open isn’t just about golf—it’s about giving back. Over the past four tournaments, more than $16.4 million has been raised for local charities, including the City of Houston, Memorial Park Conservancy, and First Tee of Greater Houston.
General Admission tickets are now available, ranging from $50-$69, offering access to public areas and bleacher seating.
For those looking for an upgraded experience, the Venue Hopper daily pass ($149) includes entry to three premium venues with all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages. New in 2025, Venue Hopper Plus tickets start at $186.
Children under 15 receive free admission to the tournament, making it an accessible event for families.
