Houston’s own Cosmic Ice Cream Co was founded by husband-and-wife duo Camille and Julian Haynes. Togetehr, they are bringing handcrafted, out-of-this-world flavors to more communities.
What started as a home experiment during the pandemic has grown into a thriving local business, with locations in Spring Branch, Pearland, and Clear Lake.
Camille, a Houston native and registered dietitian, and Julian, a Maryland-born business professional who left a decade-long career in oil and gas, opened their first shop in Webster in 2021. Their ice creams, made entirely in-house, are inspired by their travels, family recipes, childhood memories, and even customer suggestions.
Now, Cosmic Ice Cream is taking its creativity even further with an exciting Eat Like a Local collaboration. The 2025 partnership will feature unique flavors made with local businesses, with past collabs including Houston staples like Brennan’s, Bun B, and Stuff’d Belly. The latest creation? A strawberry lemonade ice cream, featuring strawberries from Atkinson Farms and Frenchy’s Lemon Cake. It debuts this weekend to coincide with the Eat Like a Local Ice Cream episode airing Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m.
With bold flavors and a community-driven approach, Cosmic Ice Cream continues to bring Houstonians sweet, celestial treats—one scoop at a time.
