HOUSTONLionwoman Productions TX is a theater company dedicated to bridging understanding, celebrating diversity and uplifting voices through compelling performances.

If you missed their first appearance on “Houston Life,” get to know them in this article.

They are returning with their second production, ‘Dancing Lessons,’ a delightful comedy celebrating the neurodiverse community.

Written by award-winning playwright Mark St. Germain, the play explores themes of acceptance, empathy, and creating unexpected human connections.

Two cast members stopped by the “Houston Life” studio to share how they’re bringing the production to life.

Brad Goertz, a Houston native with a rich background performing across the city, plays Ever Montgomery, a man with Asperger’s syndrome who hires a Broadway dancer to teach him how to dance in preparation for an awards dinner. Through these lessons, an unexpected connection forms.

Adrienne Shearer, a cast member and choreographer, brings her extensive experience working with neurodiverse artists to the show. She founded the Better Together Theater Arts Academy, which creates a safe environment for neurodivergent teens and adults. Her real-life experience adds authenticity and heart to the story.

“Dancing Lessons” opens this Thursday.
