HOUSTON – In honor of Autism Awareness Month, on April 28, KPRC 2 Insiders participated in a LIVE art demonstration and live chat hosted by Houston Life host Derrick Shore and KPRC 2 Meteorologist Justin Stapleton and featuring local eco-artist and special needs advocate Grant Maniér.
The 25-year-old artist living with autism took Insiders step by step through the process of creating an eco-friendly piece of art as they watched or followed along. Days before the event, Insiders were given a list of supplies they would need.
During the demonstration, Insiders were encouraged to chat and ask questions, and at the end of the demonstration, two lucky participants were selected to receive Grant Maniér originals.

The eco-art demonstration was a KPRC 2 Insider exclusive event. You can join KPRC 2 Insider here. Insiders receive discounts, prizes, invitations to events like these, and other perks.
On April 27, Grant appeared on Houston Life and talked about his passion for art. He also shared his reaction to the moment one of his art pieces sold at an auction for a whopping $30K. It was all to help Be An Angel.
