Weather

High: 76° Low: 64°

Meteorologist Caroline Brown says: “Good morning! We’re waking up to light, drizzly rain showers moving through SE Texas. This means our morning commute will be a little messy, so plan on extra time. We are not seeing any storms, heavy rain or flooding, but it is certainly inconvenient. At noon a few showers from Houston to the coast continue, moving out in the afternoon. Temperatures will stay cool and comfortable today.

Thursday and Friday we will dry out and warm back to the mid-to-upper 80s. Our next cold front moves through dry on Friday which will cool us down just in time for the weekend and the Bayou City Art Festival!

Don’t forget the Annular Eclipse on Saturday (maximum eclipse occurs around noon).

Have a great day and stay dry!”

New episode of ‘The Evidence Room’ premieres tonight

There are some crimes that just stick with you. The murder of Josue Flores is one of them – the random, senseless stabbing of an 11-year-old boy walking home from school in May 2016. When we first started developing our true crime docuseries ‘The Evidence Room,” we met Rhonda Spinks, manager of the Harris County Criminal Exhibits Archive. She called it the one case that haunts her. Prosecutor John Jordan agreed. “We always call the case by the style of the defendant’s name,” Jordan told KPRC 2 Investigates. “This is the only case that I can remember in the last 25 years that everybody refers to it as the Josue Flores case.” From the surveillance video that perfectly traced how Flores crossed paths with his killer, to the jacket that finally solved the crime – journey with us through a powerful new episode of ‘The Evidence Room’ streaming tonight at 6:30 p.m. exclusively on KPRC 2+.
