PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The ex-wife of a former Houston Oilers star has been arrested at a trail rider's camp.
Prairie View police said one of their officers was flagged down by people who were pointing at a couple having sex in a field behind Prairie View A&M University's stadium.
Felicia Moon, Warren Moon's ex-wife, and her partner, James Thomas, were arrested and charged with public lewdness.
"No one in our camp saw them there, so I don't want to comment on anything I don't know anything about," said Nannie Francies, the boss of the Prairie View A&M Trail Riders.
Francies said Thomas is a member of the trail ride, but Felicia Moon is not and never has been.
Felicia Moon was married to Warren Moon for 21 years. In 1996, he was accused of assaulting her. She dropped the charges, but prosecutors continued the case and Warren Moon was acquitted.
The Moons divorced 10 years ago. She has worked as a freelance writer and has set up an organization to fight spousal abuse.
Felicia Moon was not available for comment Wednesday.
