Katy Freeway accident cleared

HOUSTON – An accident blocked several eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway during the Thursday morning rush hour.

Officials said a crash happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the inbound lanes between Fry Road and Bunker Hill. It was cleared about 20 minutes later.

Traffic was backed up in the area.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
