HOUSTON – A man dressed as a woman held up a bank inside a northwest Harris County grocery store on Wednesday afternoon, investigators said.
FBI officials said a man wearing a wig and dress demanded cash from the First Convenience Bank inside the Kroger store on North Eldridge Parkway near West Little York about 2:30 p.m.
The robber did not display a weapon, investigators said.
After the robbery, the man fled in a car driven by a second person.
After a short chase, one of the two men was arrested. Detectives have not said if that person was the robbery suspect or the getaway driver.
A description of the second person involved has not been released.
