SEABROOK, Texas – A former Seabrook police officer was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
According to the Seabrook Police Department, Michael Krumrey was the focus of an internal and criminal investigation stemming from a complaint made by a woman based on her contact with Krumrey on March 30. At that time, Krumrey, 47, was employed as a patrol officer with the Seabrook Police Department.
According to court documents, the woman said Krumrey told her to perform a sex act on him or he would arrest her for allegedly driving drunk.
After the Harris County District Attorney's Office issued an arrest warrant, Krumrey was arrested and taken to the Harris County Jail. Bond was set at $100,000.
As a result of the complaint and internal investigation, Krumrey was indefinitely suspended from the Seabrook Police Department in June. He has appealed his termination and the appeal is pending.
