HOUSTON – A former member of the Navy is searching for the owner of a lost United States Marine Corps ring, found at a Houston Starbucks.
Brad Morrison says his son's girlfriend found the ring about three months ago at the Starbucks near 43rd Street and Highway 290. Morrison placed an ad on the Craigslist lost and found page, but hasn't received any responses.

The gold ring has the Marine Corps symbol in the middle, over a red stone. On one side of the ring it says "Iwo Jima 1945" and on the other side it says "Tun Tavern 1775." The ring is very worn and Morrison believes its owner had it for a long time before losing it. "The Marine Corps has a lot of pride, so that is something that would be worn a lot," Morrison said.
He thinks the ring might have accidentally fallen off of the owner, or it was misplaced at the Starbucks. However it got there, he is on a mission to return it to the owner. "If I was in the Marine Corps and I had that ring and it was gone, it would be like a piece of me was missing," Morrison said.
