MATAGORDA COUNTY, Texas – The Bay City Police Department says people coming forward with tips are receiving private threats on Facebook.
Last week, a Matagorda County Sheriff's Office deputy and Bay City officer were suspended, accused of posting derogatory comments online about the Ferguson grand jury decision.

The department is working to track down whoever made the threats.
The officer and deputy are on leave until the investigation wraps up.
