Galveston police say auto burglary suspects confessed to crimes

No description found

HOUSTON – Two men were arrested for breaking into two vehicles in Galveston on Tuesday.

The Galveston Police Department said officers were responding to a 911 call about an auto burglary in the 2000 block of Heards Lane Circle around 12:35 a.m. The caller described two people who had just broken into a vehicle and the vehicle in which the men left. On their way to the scene, officers spotted and stopped a vehicle that matched the description of the getaway car.

Officers said they questioned the two people inside the car, Isaiah Sendejas, 18, Cameron Henderson, 19, and noticed indications of vehicle burglary, including broken glass in the vehicle, glass on one of the man's clothes and a hammer in the back seat.

They took Sendejas and Henderson back to the crime scene and the caller identified them as the people who had broken into the vehicle, police said.

Galveston police said they noticed that the burglary was similar to another auto burglary in the 2000 block of Post Office earlier that evening.

They questioned Sendejas and Henderson about the crimes, and the two men confessed to both, said authorities.

Police said they were charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle, but they were also committing other offenses including driving without a license and minor in possession of alcohol.
