HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constable is on paid administrative leave while the Harris County Sheriff's Office investigates claims that he forced a woman to have sex with him after he pulled her over on a traffic stop.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office issued a search warrant to look through the deputy constable's patrol car and belongings.
According to the search warrant, the deputy constable pulled the woman over along Sam Houston Parkway North for a traffic stop and later arrested her for having marijuana in her purse.
He allegedly told her "there was possibly a way that she could avoid going to jail for the possession of marijuana," and sexually assaulted her less than 4 miles from the original traffic stop, near Plaza Verde and Greens Crossing.
The woman said the deputy constable told her to clean herself up after the alleged assault and asked for her cell phone number so he could call her sometime and "they could go out on a date."
The deputy constable reportedly took her to a Walgreen's on West Road, where he allegedly told the woman she was "free to go home and it was close enough for her to walk."
In addition to the sexual assault investigation, the deputy constable is also being charged with mishandling drug evidence.
He has not been charged with a crime.
